Tuned is operated by Igor Silva. It helps you follow selected YouTube channels, filter their uploads, and organize videos. Contact igor@igorsilva.pro with privacy requests.
What Tuned handles
- Your account: a device session identifier and, if you connect Google, your Google account identifier, name, and email address.
- Your library: followed channels, rules and AI criteria, labels, saved metadata corrections, filtering decisions, and Inbox, Later, viewed, and Archive states.
- YouTube information: channel and video identifiers or URLs needed to show the Tuned follow button and identify a channel, plus public video titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, publication times, and available format or broadcast information.
- Device preferences: your preferred extension view and optional notification permission. Session credentials stay in trusted extension storage; the server stores a hash.
Tuned reads relevant YouTube pages to provide its follow controls. It does not read pages on other websites, collect your general browsing history, or modify your native YouTube subscriptions.
Why it is used
This information provides your personal feed, applies your rules, preserves your choices, synchronizes connected devices, and sends the desktop alerts you enable. Technical counters and short-lived sign-in records help prevent repeated requests and secure account linking.
AI is optional
When you add an AI condition, Tuned sends that condition and the video's public metadata to OpenAI to evaluate the match. It does not send your email, Google identifier, device credential, video pixels, or the rest of your library in that request. Ordinary keyword and format rules do not require an OpenAI request.
Tuned requests store: false for Responses API calls. This does not eliminate all
provider retention: OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs under its
API data controls. OpenAI
states that API data is not used for model training by default.
Services involved
- Convex hosts the backend and database in North Virginia, United States.
-
Google supplies optional sign-in and public YouTube feeds and metadata. Sign-in
requests identity scopes only:
openid email profile. - OpenAI evaluates the AI rules you choose to use.
- Vercel hosts this public website and processes normal technical request information needed to serve it. This website does not add advertising or analytics scripts.
Data may be processed outside your country by these providers. Tuned does not sell personal data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions. User data is used and transferred only to provide Tuned's described features, as permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Human access is limited to permitted support, security, legal, and operational circumstances.
Retention and deletion
Your library is retained until you delete your account. Archiving a video or unfollowing a channel preserves its history. Temporary OAuth records expire after a few minutes and are cleared by daily maintenance; completed WebSub delivery receipts expire after seven days. Expired request counters are also cleared.
Deleting your account revokes access on connected devices immediately. Background batches then erase its profile, sessions, subscriptions, rules, library items, filtering history, and retained guest-account archives. Public video and channel metadata shared with other users remains, without your account's subscription or library records. Providers may separately retain backups and technical logs under their retention policies.
Your choices
Open Subscriptions โ Settings & sync โ Your data to export a JSON copy or delete your account. You can edit rules, unfollow channels, remove AI conditions, and disable desktop alerts there. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion if you cannot reach your account.
Security and updates
Cloud connections use HTTPS and WSS. Provider API keys remain on the backend. We may update this policy as the app changes; the date above identifies the current version. Material changes to data use will be disclosed before they take effect.
